Application settings window

The Kaspersky Internet Security settings window is designed for configuring the entire application, separate protection components, scan and update tasks, and for running other advanced configuration tasks.

The application settings window consists of two parts:

• in the left part of the window you can choose the application component, task or another item that should be configured;
• the right part of the window contains the controls that you can use to configure the item selected in the left part of the window.

The components, tasks and other parts in the left part of the window are combined in the following sections:

 – Protection Center;

 – Scan;

 – Update Center;

 – Advanced Settings.

To open the settings window, perform one of the following actions:

• click the Settings link in the top part of the main application window;
• select Settings from the context menu;
• click the button with the  Settings icon in the Kaspersky Gadget interface (only for Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7). The option of opening the settings window should be assigned to the button.

To select the required section in the configuration window,

click the icon corresponding to the section in the top left part of the window (see above).
